If I Am A Man of God

2 Kings 1:10

Elijah answered the captain, "If I am a man of God, May fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

Was there something wrong? Did Elijah doubted that he is man of God? Why does he have to tell If I am a man of God? Did he not know it?

These are the questions that comes to my mind immediately when these verse caught my attention. I do not doubt that God will do something, will listen to Elijah just to prove to Elijah, captain and fifty men that He (Elijah) is a man of God. 

Message:
When God chooses whom to be with, God will be with him. God will make His move to prove that he with that person. God will listen. God will move

Application:
Have you ever dare God to move in your life just to prove that God is true, real, existing in your personal life? Elijah experience it "If I am a man of God..." He was looking and making a proof if he really was/is a man God. What would you ask God to do just to prove that you are a man of God. Remember God chooses to prove that Elijah is a man of God. It was not Elijah who made the/a move. It was God who move. So let God make his move just to prove that I,you or somebody is a man of God.

Prayer:
Lord, Father in heaven, I know you are my God, You are my Father ever since I received Jesus in life. All I need is a proof that you are my Father. Making your move that I am one your children. Lord, I know you hate sin and you do not want me to sin again and again. Please make your move. Keep me away from sin. Provide a way out of sin, just as you promise. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "....But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." Lord open my eyes to that way out, so that I can prove that you are the one who really move in life. I ask and pray of these in Jesus name. Amen
