Psalm 105

1. Give thanks to the LORD, Call on his name; Make known among the nations what he has done.

Awhile ago I was asking my self, where am I right now; what do I possess and what I have Achieve. It is important to recognize where I am right now because all of this happens because of God; the root cause of everything. Yes it is true, I made a choice and all I have is the result of my choice but every opportunity comes from God. God must be recognized in all I do because he has been the reason of everything. Let me make it simple as this: He has given me life to experience all these thing that I have. a worthy reason to say thank you Lord. thank you for all you have done.

This is the time to call upon the Lord, to give Him thanks for all He has done. Let all the nation knows that our God is Good.

how Express yourself to God

1 King 3: 7-9

“Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties.8Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Message

Express yourself before God

1. Know your situation - verse 7

2. Know your identity(servant) and their importance (people you have chosen) - verse 8

3. Know your needs (a discerning heart) - verse 9

4. Know your reason (to distinguish right and wrong) verse 9

5. Know your limitation (who is able to govern this great people) - verse 9

Application

Situation

It is time to lead however I am not fully ready, fully prepared to lead. 

Identity

I am in God's side. God has chosen me to lead. He will be with me as I lead

Importance

I believe God loves his people and will do something to use me or help me to bring those people closer to him. 

Needs

Just like Solomon, a discerning heart,

Reason

I need to make correct decision so that I can the chosen people of God. Those people whom he wanted to be with

Limitation

I am not all knowing when it comes to lead

Prayer

God above in heaven, I am not ready to lead, for I lack of knowledge on how to lead. I believe that I belong to you and you are going to help me as I lead because you want these people to be closer to you, you will use me. I need wisdom, knowledge and a discerning heart to that i can lead them to you Lord.  I lack these things. May you be the one who take in charge of everything as you use me. Hoping for help that would come on your way. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen

Thousand Burnt Offering

1 King 3:4-5

The king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for that was the most important high place, and Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

MESSAGE

1. The king went to Gibeon

There is a place where the King go. The king must move, Must leave the present place and move to another place.

Have we stay on one place/situation and never move on? It is time for us to move, to change our present situation and move to another situation.

2. to offer sacrifices

Why we need to move our change our position? the reason is to offer sacrifices. 

3. Gibeon - the most important place

To identify the place where we need to move/change our present situation to another situation is look for that most important place in our life. That place/situation is a place for us to offer sacrifices, the place of our worship. For me, that place would be my school, I must serve well. What would be the most important situation in my life? My Job, this is my Gibeon, my place where I can glorify God through actions.

4. Solomon offered thousand burnt offering on that altar

This word caught my attention: to offer thousand burnt offering.

How many sacrifices should I make? How many sacrifices I ever made? there should be thousand. Thousand of burnt offering. imagine how God was glorify if we have offered him thousand of it. I believe that I should be offering thousand of worship in a place where I can worship God. THOUSAND THOUSAND of worship

5. At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon

Expectation: God would would reveal himself in that place.

6. Gd appeared during night in a dream

As we worship God, God reveals himself. This happened 

a) at night, when sufferings are present, 

b) the time where dreams are still on the hand. 

7. God said "ask for whatever you want me to give you"

The Lord cares for our desire. He is willing to give whatever we wanted to have.

Discover when is God willing to give what we want: Go back to Number 1 until 7 and you will see how God moves in the life of solomon

APPLICATION

1. It is time to move to a  place where  i can worship God. That place right now is the place where I work

2. Offer sacrifices in that place, Offer Worship to God not just one but thousand of Worship. Thousand of actions that would glorify him.

Thousand of worship refers to:

-lessons everyday

-students interest, cares

-respect to others

-everything I do should be done to glorify God

3 Expect God would appear in those situation specially when in trouble/suffering. God would be there saying "I care, I can help you, what do you want me to give you"

God will be helping me to accomplished everything. at this moment just trust God

Ecclesiastes 12: 9-10

"Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and search out and set in order many proverbs. The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true."

Message:

1. Not only was the Teacher wise

          The teacher is considered wise or should I say that A teacher is expected to be wise. What does it mean to be wise. A wise person has a knowledge and the ability to do what is right or good. We should be wise - always choose something better than the other. That is being wise - choosing the best for us.

2. A teacher impart knowledge to the people

          Teachers don't only teach. They IMPART knowledge. When we said impart something that we gain. Something that belongs to person. Something was imparted to the person. Teachers don't just share knowledge. They put knowledge in the head and make an output out of that knowledge.

3. A teacher pondered and search out

          Pondered means keep on thinking/asking - why?. If answers cannot be found then a teacher searches the knowledge. He searched for the answer. This is what we must do if we do not know anything. Look for the answer.

4. Set in order many proverbs

         Learn to make many proverbs. Write down what you learn in a situation. Hugot-hugot din pag may time. 

5. A teachers find the right word

         Explanation should use exact word and exact description. Learn to find the right word.

6. What he wrote is Upright and true.

         Whatever proverb he may learn. Whatever words he may utter. It must be tested to be upright and true.

Application

1. How to be wise - choose the best

2. Impart knowledge - create an output

3. Pondered and Search out - Ask why? look for the answer

4. Create proverbs - Look for the right words and write something Upright and true

These are the simple guidelines if you do not know what to do next.

Prayer

Our Father in Heaven, Thank you for the teachings that you have given me this day. These words means a lot to me. Provides guidelines on how should I spend my time as a teacher. Thank you so much for the chances that you are giving me. These chances proves that you are still with me and never leave me. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for me those chances in this life. I pray all of this in Jesus name. Amen

If I Am A Man of God

2 Kings 1:10

Elijah answered the captain, "If I am a man of God, May fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

Was there something wrong? Did Elijah doubted that he is man of God? Why does he have to tell If I am a man of God? Did he not know it?

These are the questions that comes to my mind immediately when these verse caught my attention. I do not doubt that God will do something, will listen to Elijah just to prove to Elijah, captain and fifty men that He (Elijah) is a man of God. 

Message:
When God chooses whom to be with, God will be with him. God will make His move to prove that he with that person. God will listen. God will move

Application:
Have you ever dare God to move in your life just to prove that God is true, real, existing in your personal life? Elijah experience it "If I am a man of God..." He was looking and making a proof if he really was/is a man God. What would you ask God to do just to prove that you are a man of God. Remember God chooses to prove that Elijah is a man of God. It was not Elijah who made the/a move. It was God who move. So let God make his move just to prove that I,you or somebody is a man of God.

Prayer:
Lord, Father in heaven, I know you are my God, You are my Father ever since I received Jesus in life. All I need is a proof that you are my Father. Making your move that I am one your children. Lord, I know you hate sin and you do not want me to sin again and again. Please make your move. Keep me away from sin. Provide a way out of sin, just as you promise. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "....But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." Lord open my eyes to that way out, so that I can prove that you are the one who really move in life. I ask and pray of these in Jesus name. Amen

The Act of Righteousness

Mathew 6:1

"Be careful not to do your 'act of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven"

     The act of righteousness focuses on our action being judge by those people around us. Let this act of righteousness be not seen of the men. Simply means that those action which should be judge by man must not be recognized by man. The reason why this act should not be recognized by man is because of the rewards that would be coming from our Father in heaven. Our Father in heaven will be giving reward in every good deed that we are going to do. This verse reminds us that we should not be doing the act of righteousness being seen by man for this act will not receive the rewards that would be coming from our Father in heaven.(for they have already received their reward, Mt.6:2) We have a simple rule: Men will be doing good to be recognize but the one that  God would reward are those good deeds that will be donnot to be recognized but has a heart to do. As proverbs 21:2 says "All mans way seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart" We must always look into our heart if we want to do good deeds. What is the purpose of you good deeds, Is it for the benefits of your own good or for the benefits of others? Let us always set our hearts that we are doing things for their own sake and not for our own good.

The Structure of a Family

Proverb 1:8
"My son, hear the instruction of your father and forsake not the law of your mother"

Message
My son = This words are signal of attention, God is calling our attention to listen to Him. It also recognized us of who we are, we are His son as he lives as our father.

Hear the instruction your father = on this verse, the task of the father is to give instruction, to lead his son to what is about to do and how to do it. In reality, our biological father is in charge of providing the direction in our life(in a case we don't know the direction). God is asking us to hear the instruction of our father for they will serve as our direction, our path to where we are going.

Forsake not the law of your mother = the task of the mother is to give the do's and don't's of our life. they are in charge of correcting us in case of something wrong is in our life. The mother is putting the boundaries in our life. to support the instructions of the father.

The father is looking forward (what is your direction) and the mother is looking at the present (what is wrong and what is right at the moment) the two works together to build you up to become the person that God want to be.

This is the structure of the family that sets upon us.

Instruction
To the son: Listen your parents
To the father: Guide your son by giving instruction
To the mother: Warn your son by reminding of the law and its consequences

Application
As a son, I am expecting instructions from my father and law from my mother, but I don't have a father anymore, So right now, I am relying on my spiritual father who gives instruction in my life. The law of my mother: this is something that I should be aware of. she should be reminding me of the consequences of the things that I am doing.

Prayer
Our God in heaven thank you for the learning that you are teaching me right now, I know you want to listen to my spiritual father and obey the law of my mother. i'm lifting up all my thanksgiving for this words that you have given me. I pray that you may continually open my eyes in recognizing the instructions and law that I am about to receive from my spiritual father and biological mother. I asked this in the name of Jesus. Amen
